Job Reports to: CFO / CONTROLLER

Location: Houston, Tx

Postion Summary:

The Company is looking for a hands-on individual that will work closely with the Controller and CFO on various special projects within the finance department. Projects will include a wide range of activities including but not limited to:

• Highly technical GAAP and Statutory research projects
• Overviewing and analyzing financial results
• Optimizing accounting processes and accounting systems
• Create policies and procedures
• Supporting other areas such as investment accounting and statutory accounting
• Ensuring compliance with SOX processes
• Reading and summarizing all new accounting pronouncements
• This position is a critical position within the Controller’s group and can lead to future opportunities.
